Another good choice would be Napoleonic War 2nd edition. Our group always played this when there is a multiplayer session. I had it 3 times and all of them were very fun, entertaining and intelligently educating.
Having just reclaimed the "game room" when my son went back to school after the holidays, we are setting up a new game. I have never tried "For The People", so we are taking it out for spin. This is waaaay outside my usual time period for gaming, so I hope I'm not too out of my depth. But I keep hearing good things about this game. So... I'm jumping in at the deep end.
The GMT version. Chad found we were missing the play aids, so that game is back on the shelf until we can get copies. So we switch to Plan B: "A Most Dangerous Time" instead. This one is also new to me so I in the same boat as before. Should be fun!
Just started our second game of Von Manstein's Backhand Blow. Last time my son and I played the 4 turn scenario 1 (in which my Germans lost miserably). This time, the campaign, with me as Soviet.

Playing Richard III. (Columbia Games) at the moment. It's our first encounter with a block wargame and the initial impressions are quite good. But I suck with both factions - Lancaster and York LOL
0900 opens with another CSA initiative and again a March chit is chosen. Good timing with Davis facing troopers ready to open up on him. Davis' brigade rolls change to attack though weak as they are morale-wise that probably is a poor choice. Pettig…
Matt - Been in playtesting for a few weeks now. We have about 20 people testing it, plus a gaming class at Brown University in Minnesota.
Once we get into final phase, I will add you to the list, so you can get a sneak peak and have some fun at the…
As you play and note some discrepencies or you see something that needs clarification let me know.
The Japanese attack tables may be changed as the RR results seem to be cropping up a bit often. But it does have a lot to do with chit draw for value…
Great pics, thanks Lisa!
I loved that place, you can spend days in there, was able to visit it years ago while stationed in Germany, .
It was during a week long vacation in Paris paid for by Uncle Sam. :-)
A group from my unit was detailed to marc…
