Everyone has killed hour after hour playing Microsoft Solitaire, especially when one is supposed to be working. Now, what over free games have consumed your otherwise productive time? Post the freebies here so everyone can see that most precious of resources, time, get frittered away.

I'll start with one called Super Bowling. It's actually a pretty good bowling game, and I just blew about three hours playing this thing.

Any browser game ist a perfect time-waster, some more than others.

I played Travian once, this was a horrible time-waster because you had to be online 24/7 in order to keep your settlements running and to raid your neighbors. Nevertheless, you could never close the gap on the top players and alliances - and once one of them discovered you, you became a helpless victim, regarless of time and effort sacrificed. I quit before the end of the round.

The next time-waster browser game was Star Trek Galaxy Conquest. I liked this one and the game speed was much slower, allowing for a more relaxed gameplay. I eventually joined a Top 20 Alliance and became their Secretary of Settlement Politics. This was fun and I played an entire round, until they shut the Galaxy down.

Currently, Andreas and I are playing Urban Dead, a zombie apocalypse browser game. Your actions are limited to 50 actions per day = 10 minutes of gameplay. Nevertheless, you can waste your time with surfing the Urban Dead Wiki (which is great, we even created user pages for our characters and Andy writes a "War Diary" about his adventures in the virtual city of Malton). "Meta-gaming" = gaming beyond the 50 actions per day by communicating with other players in forums and in the Wiki, is a very funny time-waster and I think we will happily continue wasting our time there :)

If you are interested, there is a CSW Group für Urban Dead...

Merry X-Mas to you - enjoy the holidays!
''Steel Panthers - General's edition'' is free. Just look it up on wikipedia, there you'll find a link.
Basically it's a PC-version of ASL. Or as Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory would put it: A lot of time ''Well wasted'' ;)
Microsoft Solitaire is free? I thought you could only get that by installing Windows, which costs quite a lot (to do legally).
