Does anyone have any suggestions on format and rules for a SPQR tournament? I'm thinking about running one at an upcoming gaming convention, maybe over the course of 2 days.

Here's what I'm thinking so far:

Three rounds (must play three games)

Score determined by:
Wins worth some amount of points.
Total Route points inflicted (or, maybe take into consideration the difference, so crushing victories are worth more than near wins. Of course, points are affected by bid).

Can play any SPQR or Deluxe Alex. scenario mutually agreed upon. (The need to get in three games will probably remove consideration of larger scenarios)

Also I would prefer using full SPQR rules instead of Basic GBOH, although if I can figure out the scoring so it doesn't make any difference which version is played I suppose I can leave it to the players.

Just starting to think about this... if not a tournament I imagine I will just try to line up a few games on my own.
