Operational Combat Series Gaming

Operational Combat Series Gaming

A series responsible for many a strained marriage and relationship, not to mention the severe restrictions it gives us in reduced living space when set up. Why do we do it? Certainly we must be a special breed worthy of our own group. Enter!

Experienced OCS player* just moved to Birmingham - yep, that's the original city, not the copycat in the US. I'm looking for a partner for face-to-face gaming in Birmingham or London.

*Graduated with honours, MEng in OCS, from the Stéphane Acquavivia University in Budapest.

Hello everybody, I´m from Brazil and I´m new in the group and in the OCS, I´ve bought Case Blue in june/2011 and if anyone wants to play it by Vassal I´ll be avaliable.

Hi Jim,

That would be great if you could attend.  We try hard to plan way ahead on what we are doing and usually collaborate via email months out to figure out the details of what we will be playing the next year.  A few of us are trying to get a 'summerfest' started somewhere a bit closer.  We were looking at Crawfordsville, but location and date have not been nailed down yet.  If you know of any good spots in your neck of the woods let me know.  Hope to see you at Winterfest.  We may have a few small OCS games setup but the main event is GMT this year.

Has anyone got saves of the any of the various scenarios for DAK2?
Comment by David Lubin on September 29, 2010 at 2:59pm
Dave, you need to remember that the computer does not really use a true random number generator like a die is. It uses an algorithm. So just keep rolling you will finally get to the sequence you want...

I could grok that Bill. Compass might be just the ticket, as that's what I'm messing around with on Vassal. Somehow, I just can't seem to get the 7th Arm. to roll the right Overrun Results at the right time. Still trying to decide if the Vassal Mod or the game itself is broken... :)

Dave - on your next visit, perhaps we should noodle some DAK2 - a scenario - Compass, Brevity and Battleaxe are not too big - we should be able to knock those out in a few hours for each.

Real Troopers at MMP. Thank you for my Map B to DAK2. Now, the tear in my eye is due to the dust in my room not my overwheming gratitude...
