My son is in a local football league and his games are on Saturday morning, but I'll try and stop by in the early afternoon if I can get away after the game.  It would be great to at least meet everyone.

Thanks Rick, I will attend one of your meetings when I get into town.  - G

Don,

There is a local game group (plays wargames & euros) that meets at the University of Advancing Technology (UAT). See a few posts lower for a google map link. The group meets on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month. We have an email list where most folks RSVP & coordinate which games they are playing. Join here

Thanks Greg, sure that sounds fun.  Count me in.

Enrico, help me out a little...what's UAT?

Wow...that's a mile from my townhouse. Glad to hear they are still going. Do they have a website or blog to find out their meeting dates?

Comment by Enrico CS Viglino on September 17, 2014 at 2:51am

Yeah, there's a group at UAT now; every two weeks usually starting at 8AM (though most get there at 9)

Hi Donald,

I am not sure if they still have meetings or not? Or, they moved them from ASU?
I am just getting ready to move back in town at the end of the month. And, will be having wargaming meetings at my office in about 5-6 weeks hopefully. So, if you are interested let me know.   Best - Greg

Is this group still active?  I'm just getting back into gaming after decades of being away from it.  I actually never really played much...was more of a collector.  I'm teaching myself to play at the moment starting at the very bottom with "Strike Force One" and working my way up.  Would love to connect with a group in the Phoenix area, if there are any that is...

Joey, come to the "Game Day" on Saturday September 12 (9AM at UAT), a bunch of local gamers usually show up to play wargames as well as euros.
