That gets my vote. Bring it on.
Sounds like a good location would be Springwood just off the free way. 30-40min from GC and same from Northern Suburbes
I have just joined this group, I am one of Mark Law's gang but I live on the Gold Coast. We have met before, I played in your Nappy event before you took off OS.
Also anyone out there who happens to live close to the GC and is interested in a game drop me a line.
Hello Mark, very interested in your idea - I have a few friends who might be interested as well - we already meet occasionally and it would be great to expand- we can takeover the world....lol- feel free to email me firstname.lastname@example.org - regards Mark
Looking to make a Queensland Board War gaming club in 2016 or 2017.
I am thinking , each week
1 day monster games (20h + games left set up)
1 day or night for 3-6 hours games
1 Week night 4 hour game
1 week night invite the wife and kids for social.
What do you think is required?
1: Location: central?
2: Venue: stable ,
3: Committee, to run it..
4: A Government grant or capital to set it up.
Any wargamers in Canberra who are interested in playing semi-regularly? I am feeling a bit of a drought here :(
I've organised for a military boardgaming weekend in Christchurch on 13-14 December. With the low fares from Aust. these days, I thought I might be able to tempt some of you over.
Here's some information:
Also, I've set up an event under this Forum.
hello shaun, drop me an email when you are ready to game and i will be able to (thanks to mark h.)pass you on some contacts-remember a day not spent gaming is a day wasted-when you get to my age thats particularly important-regards mark
In Brisbane as well, close to CBD and would love to play some boardgames but wrong time at the moment - little free time, and what very little I have I spend miniature gaming. But I played boardwargames incessantly in the 80s and planning to get back to it in a few years when free time is better.
hey mark h, are you going to come along as well- no idea what is going on that day - but what the heck- we can still roll a few dice and swap war stories- and yes i will email you - mark
