Australia Clique

From a phrase coined at BGG ...

Please note that this clique has its own fanfare:

Either the opening bars from 'Back in Black' or Slim Dusty's version of 'A Pub with no Beer'.

(More work to come on this naturally).

This isn't the Australian you find in your glossy travel books overseas -but the fair dinkum, true blue Australia -where a guy like Hugh Jackman can clock himself after sliding down a flying fox at the Sydney Opera House -and then get Oprah to partake of a gob of vegemite and Grange, where the Wiggles can manage to create a scandal that has "Death to Smoochy" overtones and it is played out on the national news scene ...

This is the Antipodes.

Location: Australia- real or imagined (it makes no difference).

If you direct me to an image of a funnel web or red back as suitable and I'll make a personal one for you Steve.

Logo-less for just a little while longer.

Begging your indulgence, in that I have an idea what to do; but haven't the time to do it just yet. What I got in mind is the flag in the background (taken from Wikipedia- mainly because I think it is in the public domain ... will check first).

I will stylize it a bit (basically shading effects), then I got the idea of doing a ring in the center and adding in some 3d effect, then I will try to find one of my photos of one of our iconic animals.

In the ring will be the title of the group.

Alright, I'm joining and I'm only an Pommie blow in. However, down here we may need to have our own voice, especially when we organise the Aussies Vs the Rest Of the World wargame Olympics in 2064

True enough. I'll have to see what sort of image I can come up with.

By the way we need a suitably evocative picture.
