Plus I was too lazy to come up with stretch goals.

Peter, I was going to make use of the faux kickstarter page BGG set up for April Fools to start a campaign to kidnap you and bring you back. Then I pondered the ramifications of putting a kidnapping plot on the Internet and desisted. FWIW, I was going to put a nice scotch in the trunk for you.

It's exactly "here or there".

Both BGG and CSW have usefulness for me both having generated lots insights into games I am interested in.

That one is more 'pop' and the other more 'elitist' (you can decide which is which) is neither here nor there :-)

The man knows his copyright laws ... ( in the same sort of NFL pools that pay off people that pick all losers in any given week...).

But I do have to thank him for pointing out the user agreement text- it reinforced my decision to delete all the images I ever uploaded there. I made a fair amount of those for my own site -not- BGG or VGG.

Considering I track my stats and in the 3.5 or so years I have run my site- I have never gotten a single person that came from BGG -well, not much of a loss for me.

Enrico- how can it be duller- they got a thread there about Japanese anime school girls in panzers ... now something like that -it says 'WARGAMING' to me. . .  they're welcome to whatever that is. :)

BGG feels a little bit duller.

Welcome to the 'dark side' Peter.  I considered 'nuking' my own account over there a while back.  Something about a self-styled military history 'expert' telling me I was wrong, as (according to him) the US 1st Inf div "spearheaded" the Normandy landings while the US 29th inf div "walked ashore" at Utah, facing only "Ost batalions". !?!?!  However, some of the game forums are still worth sticking around for.

You'll (perhaps) be happy hear that the "Where's Peter?" thread is going strong, although it seems to have degenerated into a CSW bashing session.  Dorosh has chimed in to reinforce what a tool he is.  Fortunately he refrains from posting his version of military history here (or perhaps that's unfortunate, a missed opportunity for some entertainment). ;)

I should mention that my Scorched Earth comment was meant to be funny and not insulting. Looking back I am not sure that came through.

Gives a reason to spend more time on this side of the fence.
