About to begin a soloing of 'Port Athur/Tsushima'..
I am also trying to find David Williams, the designer of Red Star/White Eagle. If anyone has contact info for him, please drop me a line ...
If anyone has an extra set of counters for GDWs "Crimea" I would appreciate your help. I bought a copy only to find the British counters are missing and the seller has been less than helpful.
Thanks,
Hawkeye
Yes 'Citadel' a terrific game..I never got into the Europa series not because I didn't like them but because i never had the space or money..however I do have 'Narvik' which I've played several times...
"I bought Citadel in 1980. One of the best games of that era."
One of the best games of ANY era, actually. I understand it holds up well.
I remember my local hobby store growing up had the Europa games in plastic sleeves. We turned our noses up at them because the packaging and initial appearance weren't as polished as the SPI / AH games a little down the shelf. How I wish I had gotten them, now! Just the audacity of the concept: An entire theatre of WWII in a series of potentially interconnected games!

Yes Chadwick did design 'Assault' but I never played it as I'm not that keen on the tactical stuff..
