For me, it would be easier to have a small woods overlays to deal with - this is addition to the given 'full-hex' woods we have.
I say this because I spend ages cleaning the borders of the Woods and it's sometimes tricky when you are close to a level change or some of the hexside terrain. Hope the attachments worked...We'll see in a moment! ;-)
An overlay can easily be used as a stamp to fill an hex to your liking.
I would love it to have some of the items i use to finish my maps using Paint (yes, I confess this!) since I don't know how to create them as overlays.
Here are my ATS Scrub and Rock-Strewn Terrain that I use a lot for projects in Algeria and other WWII Mediterranean.
thanks Pedro
and no the attachments are sadly verry small

the second one will fit to the 'broken' which at now I did not for SPQR
Well, now that I had time to load and test PhotoFiltre, here are the same two overlays in png files!
What a pleasure to have at long last a tool to create buildings and other niceties!
I'll try my hands at a graveyard next, that's something that is still missing for tac-sims in the program at the moment.

Hi, just got HexDraw and signed up for this group.  Good stuff!  I just tried making a "European" railway overlay by taking the Pacific one (above) and replacing the yellow with black.  It looks good in my editor (Paint Shop Pro) but when I load it into HexDraw while most of the black is transparent, the black between several of the railroad ties is visible for some reason (the "black" is all the same color:  0,0,0).  Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

just make it not totaly black. like 0,0,1

Actually it turns out that for some reason the problem areas had values like 0,0,3 or 4,0,0...I repainted them with 0,0,0 and it seems to work.  Not perfect, but not bad.  Hopefully Kid won't mind that I used his pacific railroads, but its been nine years!  Here is the full-size graphic (the one in the post above was reduced).  I will try to create a curved track next, although that might be beyond me...
