Something that used to drive me nuts was that when creating a map if you create a new overlay in that map it hides where it is saved . So you cannot grab it to use on another map. Solution select the overlay click "Edit bit map" when you get it in your graphics editor "Save As" and it will be saved in the main Hex draw folder. You can then use it in other maps by clicking new under overlays in the new map and navigating to it. This is probably simple stuff others have figured out but it drove me nuts.
