This is my second game on "Ici, c'est la France". The rules are effective. 1955-1956: FLN guerillas are occupying half Algeria with difficulty for french troops to intercept them particularly in Aures and in Kabylia. FLN maquis are growing in the Ksours (Atlas). By the end on 56 and the independence of Morocco and Tunisia, french reinforcements are pouring in Algeria. The game is quite again challenging. It's really quite interessing !

Quite a brilliant system, Kim.
I quite appreciate your qualitative work on the french algerian war.
I know well this conflict and you have well simulated the importance of the french public opinion, the versatility of french pied noirs in Algeria and the mood of muslims populations. The players have to deal permanently with these three important facts not to lose the war...
The asymetric dimension of the conflit is well simulated too. The importance for FLN isn't to win battles over french troops but to win muslim population to their cause and to deterr french pied-noirs. The difficulty to erradicate ALN guerillas is well simulated with the developpment in french army of counter-insurrectionnal war: harkis, commanods de chasse, plan challe, helicopter war et the Morice line !
Really a good job !
I think your system is quite good to simulate other asymetrical conflicts in Africa, Asia and even Middle East in the present time.
And I really congratulate you to have done this in only 10 pages...
I'm waiting for your next games...

Randy Lein at Legion Wargames wrote this:

The replacement maps for Ici, c'est la France! have arrived. All components are now in house and the kitting of the games will commence on Monday. I hope to have the first batch of games going out on Thursday, Aug 27th, with all games being shipped by the 31st.

There are still 70+ Pre-Orders for which I have not received payment. If you Pre-Ordered the game through Legion Wargames, or through Khyber Pass Games, you should have received an email with a link to the Pre-Order Payment Page. If for any reason you did not receive that email here is the link to that page. If you never Pre-Ordered the game but would like to purchase it now at the 20% off price you can simply proceed to the page, no need to officially Pre-Order at this point.
