Ta-Darrrr!!!

We're back - well, almost.

Natasha has worked her magic. The site has been migrated to the new host and the site and data recovered - back to February 2014. So, I've a bit of work to do to get it up to date and fit to present again - and Tash has some tidying up she wants to do.

Our aim is to have it ready for the scheduled August update (August 1st). Unit then we'll keep it in maintenance mode.

Feels like we've been down months but, provided we are back on-line a week this Saturday, we'll only have missed the July update (and I'm not even sure we had any submissions last month).

If you have been sitting on a submission please send it in - would be good to come back with a bit of a bang.

Oh, and being off the home server, I hope you'll see improved download speeds.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Andy

Latest news on the site is that it's going to take a little longer. Some progress has been made but most of it has been eliminating options unfortunately.

Sorry gents, I thought I'd posted here about the site's woes - the reason it has been down the last few weeks.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, as part of the planned fix we're moving from a home server to a host.  Have now selected a host and sign up tomorrow. Daughter is home this weekend so every chance we'll be back before Monday. The (temporary) bad news is there's a real chance we'll regress to Jan 2014's content. But I have the last 18 months' content so it is just a question of a number of follow-on updates over the next few weeks to be bang up to date.

A very nice mug indeed - you should do some for your Malta game too!

Announcing WalkingWaterloo.com

Karoly Szvgetvari and I have created a new website www.walkingwaterloo.com which is intended to provide 'guided' tours of the four battlefields of Waterloo.

It is in the form of a blog so we'd encourage you to subscribe, make comments and contribute too.

Being created by Karoly and I it does, of course, have a boardwargaming bent. In gfact we hope that, being of interest to wargamers and non-wargamers alike, we may attract some new blood to the hobby.

Thanks for your support - and please, please, spread the word.

Two Toulon Announcements that might pique your interest:

1. The Vassal and Cyberboard modules are nearly complete and will be released before the game starts shipping. So if you know of anyone interested, but who has not yet submitted a CPO, tell them to take a sneak peak at what the final game will look like. Andy Loakes will be coordinating this and will announce when he has them posted on his LYG website.

2. I will have approximately 50 unfolded maps available for purchase (with your CPO purchase of the game). Price of the map is a mere $5, but of course there will be a separate shipping charge since it will have to be sent rolled up in a tube. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle these requests but those following here will have the first crack at them so I guess the easiest thing to do is to send an email to: payments@legionwargames.com, with the subject line of "Toulon Flat Map Request"
