I'll have to give it a shot.  I've been comptemplating using Ground Zero Games Dirtside II rules...  It'd involve some paperwork, but I think it would be worth it.  I'm just too picky about miniatures though.  I can't stand WOTC vinyl pre-painted miniatures...  I have a nice collection of their Star Wars spacecraft (which I still intend to use GZG's Full Thrust rules set for...), and go nuts at the variable scales and lack of consistency....  About the best Star Wars kits I've ever seen and built are the FineMolds 1:72nd kits.  If only they made a load of miniatures...  Thats about 25mm scale...

You don't need their rules to game Star Wars. I've used The Games of War to do minis battles with stormtroopers, droids, and spacecraft.  Wizards of the Coast makes the minis and there are plenty of sites where you can purchase them!

Game you can!

For all the greatness Star Wars is, for all the fodder it can provide gamers, the Licensing has killed it all!  Or at least its killed any real serious attempt at Star Wars wargaming since West End lost the license and is no longer in business...  I missed my chance to play their miniature wargame by being born 10 years too late and not spending my job earnings as a teenager to buy the rules...

My membership of this group is conditional on the fact that I do not have to endorse anything said or written by George Lucas since 1983.

When I saw Return of the Jedi for the first time, I was traumatized by the Ewoks. This video taught me that I was wrong and that Ewoks were really, really helpful little guys.

In addition, it's great that Billy dee Williams alias Lando Calrissian participates in this video :)
