Not lacking for options - we could even do an ASL weekend if we like. Looks like Steve is an ASLer.
The History of ASL (for Steve) at the Eden War Room. \\ A Few plays with visits from some very experienced players. Luke is hardcore about it. My experience in recent times is limited but full of SL/COI/COD back in High School. Somehow someway I lucked into a complete ASL set from the AH days ready to be used as needed.
A primary reason I don't play ASL more has been opportunity - the two most frequent guys I play are not that interested - Stuart and I focus on 2 player Operational and Strategic games - we have been playing Simonitch stuff almost exclusively this year.
Use to have bad feelings about ASL but no longer.
Monster gaming with large teams the years before that - too much last year - I got burned out.
Am actually preferring small group gaming right now - so if we found ourselves with four people we might break out into two games.
Pax Romana was a fun game--I played the previous edition many years ago. But it does have some ridiculously fiddly mechanics
Churchill is a great game, but has a three player hard limit. A lot of moving parts on how to play it that isn't obvious at first, but does lend itself to great play.
We should be planning for something next Month - especially with Thanksgiving coming up - most of us typically get that long weekend. The soonest I can host is November 14th.
Expecting GMT's TUSCW anytime now and OSG's Napoleon's Last Gamble with expansion - Pax Romana sits in the shrink wrapped box still. You got Churchill, Dave? That would be neat to try.
Man, things have been quiet around here recently. Would love to get together in the War Room for a game of something or another....
Did this group die?
Greetings fellows. How is the gaming going? Stuart and I are going round Three of Normandy '44. A superb game.
I've seen Paul AARing and asking questions on CSW on Victory Roads . Some of you have been at conventions. Saw a post about some ACW action in Cary with Don and Dick.
So who wants to play what, where & when. I am available sun/monday.
i see the genesis of a plan....
I got the "reprint" from DriveThruGames recently and would love to get together sometime. I don't have anything on my calendar Sun or Mon, we can play it by ear.
