Vae Victis (the game) and Facebook

I have created with 3 friends a small game which is now a registered Facebook(Tm) application. It is inspired (with lot of simplifications) from my ULTIMUS ROMANORUM of Vae Victis (the magazine) You are all welcome to test it !

Frederic, Merçi.
The game is fun, but I really think that it might be much more fun with new rules and functionality. I´m sure you can improve it much more, and we can try to help you with ideas...
Have you thought about an overall map? Althought I guess that it would be too much work...
Thanks.

Marc, by spying you have a more precise view on their strength and attack them more safely.
Lots of new rules and functionolity will be added to the game to make it more fun. A V0.54 has been released yesterday.

I have recently created a family: tarraconensis. There are lots of them there: barbarians and romans. The thing which intrigues me now is the kind of information I can get spying those awful barbarians who surround our loved occidentalis imperium to defeat them one after one.

Welcome to Vae Victis - http://apps.facebook.com/vaevictis/ -, a strategy game based on the fall of the Roman Empire. Before playing, you have to create your own Roman or Barbarian family...

Your family belongs to the Roman or Barbarian side. Every power has its own advantages and drawbacks. Barbarians have a higher population growth rate, Romans have a better tax return, Barbarians can plunder other families, Romans can convert Barbarians...

When starting a new family you may choose between three bonuses: First bonus is more money, short term interest, for immediate use. Second bonus is more slaves, medium term interest. It will boost your food production. Third bonus is better general, medium to long term. It will give you a bonus in coming combats.

You will get 5 actions every 12 hours to develop your family, build your army, spy on enemies, attack them, find new allies. Random event may help you... or not. So choose wisely and don't forget to visit the FAQ and the discussion board.
