The Civil War is an all-time great!
Hi guys. Just sauntered over from BGG. I am a big fan of Victory Games. After my early wargaming career (exclusively AH), I dove into several VG topics back in the 80s. Fleet Series, Carrier, Tokyo Express, Battle Hymn & leatherneck, Hell's Highway, Vietnam, Civil War, Pacific War, and the 2 Strikes. In fact, I just spent the weekend sprucing up my Battle Hymn and Leatherneck: sorted, clipped counters, entered errata, and in general getting ready for the table.
Loved Pax. Used to play it with Wagner, Brahms, Strauss, Dvorak, Tchiakowski for grat, dramatic background music!
I have Carrier (only partially punched) and Tokyo Express (very good condition), and would be willing to sell. Not sure what reasonable present value is.
Just found a copy (sans box) in a non descript white box of Pax Britiannica that Is DID NOT KNOW I had!.
VG Games I would love to get ;
Carrier
Tokyo Express
I played the heck out of Pax Britannica back in the day. In fact, my war room's panoply of flags was picked for Congresses of Europe. I've got big editions of the UK, US, French, Japanese flags, a smaller one of Germany, two teensy period Italian and Russian flags, and then on top of the side table are itty bitty Belgian, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese flags. No Austro-Hungarian flag, though.
Anyone looking for a very nice copy of Victory Games Battle Hymn?? I can take pics if wanted. Have put it up a few times on Marketplace but no bites. Am looking to sell quite a few games actually. Let me know!!
