Mage's Realm is on Arden between Fulton and Morse. If you let me know when you are going to be in town we can get some guys together for a game.

I'll try and stay up with this group, since at least one person is interested...
There are three of us who are wargamers and show up on Saturdays at Mage's Realm.

Ok, I did notice there doesn't seem to be much activity here. I don't want you to have to go out of your way just for my sake. But I will check in when I am notified that someone has posted.

I'll try and make sure I post the schedule here, since I know there is some interest...

I am not signed up for yahoo or facebook. I guess you could call me a computer minimalist <g>. I will just hang out here. I am still working, so the demands on my time are great. But retirement is getting closer everyday. I will just add a little more about myself so you know a little more of my background. More or less I am a WWII guy although now my interest is more varied. My dad was a Marine Raider in WWII so that naturally sparked my interest in that period. I am pretty familiar with ASL, I have played it a lot, although I am not as experienced with the Gun/Armor stuff as I am with the infantry. But I wrote rules for my own version of ASL which falls between the original and ASL in complexity so for the last seven years I have been playing that. Consequently I might be a little rusty with the ASL stuff, though I think I could sit down and play right now without embarrassing my self too much. I have always been big on East Front WWII. I have been playing Twilight Struggle and am gearing up for Paths of Glory. I like the CDG games. Also I would love to learn Asia Engulfed, and would love to play the classic "The Russian Campaign" and the newer "Russia Beseiged". Anyone interested can check out my selection of games on BGG by searching Randy Carter under the user heading. I will keep an eye on what is going on here and hope to meet you all sometime in the future

Chris, the yahoo group is still good.

Randy,
we have a group that meets up at Mage's Realm in Sacramento virtually every Saturday at 10am. The Miniature Wargaming Society of Sacramento meets at the Carmichael library on one Sunday a month.
Check us out on Facebook or on the Yahoo groups. Next meeting is 1/20/13 at noon.

As Tim mentioned, there is also the ASL group that meets once a month as well.
ConQuest Sacramento is coming up in April a well.

There's an ASL / ASLSK group that meets down in Vacaville the 2nd Saturday of the month. New or returning players very welcome

Hi there, I have been wargaming since about 1970 or so, and I live about 40 miles north of Sacramento. I am more of a board wargamer although I did play a little Column, Line and Square way back in the day and I have always thought miniatures were very cool. Thought I would join your group and keep an eye on what is going on here.
