Next meeting is scheduled for June 20th 2010 at the Carmichael library from 11-7. At least one WWII miniatures game on the schedule along with Warhammer Fantasy Battles and the usual ASL crowd.

Yes it is. The Carmichael branch is closed on Mondays. Sundays are very popular and the parking lot, while large, is normally pretty crowded. We have a Samurai game, Warhammer Fantasy Battles 1500 pt bring your army games and Advanced Squad Leader going on currently.

Next meeting Sunday March 21st at the Carmichael Library from 11-7. Yes, I know it's the same weekend as Conquest Sacramento. You could go to the con then attend the meeting on Sunday. If you aren't going to go to the con then come by the meeting. While you aren't allowed to sell inside, you can display what you want to sell inside then trade outside. We have plenty of space, the meetings are free and we always have at least 2 games.

We had three games take place, with around 12 people or so attending. I ran Ambush Alley, which is a rules set for insurgents against regulars in a Built Up Area. The Marines had to rescue to Private Military Contractors. The Insurgents had to prevent this and try to kill as many Marines as possible. I had a full table of 5 players. The Marines managed to get in and rescue the PMC's but got hammered on their way out and finally where overwhelmed by numbers.

Joe Riddle ran Warhammer Fantasy Battles, apparently the Undead won as usual.

We had a couple of new guys play an Asia Engulfed scenario in which the Japanese won.

Sorry I haven't kept things up here but our next meeting is August 15th at the Arden Dimmick Library on Watt Ave from 11-7. Nothing on the schedule. July's meeting had Warhammer Fantasy Battles, AK 47 Republic and Advanced Squad Leader.

forwarding this...

All,

I have offered to host an ASL open gaming session at Con Quest Sac this year. I will also have SK/ASL demos set up. I was told my event submission was accepted, but I haven't been placed on the on-line agenda as of yet - my requested timeslot was Saturday during the day.

I am sending out this email to spread the word, since historically there has been little press from the convention staff.

If you know anybody who might be interested, please forward them this email. I will send out updated info as it becomes available to me.

Dave
