Anybody out there have the Compendium Vol. 2 that they want to part with?

Eric, I looked at the new edition and saw the rulebook and decided to keep on suffering through the bad counter fonts.

Not playing as much as I used to--still have all the modules.  May have to move over to the newer edition when it comes out!

Anybody still playing this?

I started out on the system late with EG Deluxe / BaB / ItB / Compendium 1 several years ago.  Like the beer n' pretzels-like system, and just a few weeks ago got a large lot that has just about everything except a few LoF's [1-6] and Comp II.

Cheers,

~Jim

I haven't played this system in a LONG time, so I finally broke out Eisenbach Gap and began playing the scenarios again beginning with #1.  Man, is this a quick playing and fun game.  In my first playing of Scenario #1, the US kicked Soviet butt.  However, I learned a few lessons and in the second playing of Scenario #1, the Russians did much better.  One of the reasons I really like this is the potential to game anywhere with any units.  I love Sava's Greeks, Turks, Indians, Paki's, Iranians...  I could easily see throwing together some Desert Storm scenarios.

That's a shame Kev - I really like the "odd balls" but to each his own.

I'm not real thrilled with the Vietnamese/China LOF 12 counters. 2nd rate units and equipment plinking around is not my cup of tea. I think there are limits to what works and what helps make scenarios tense and exciting. these ones I think go to the bottom of the pile, next to Garbo. Other than that I think every user and LNL based expansion has been great so far. Which is a great testament to the system.
