DAYS OF DECISION III to WORLD IN FLAMES stories 1 Reply

Anybody have any good tales of really interesting transitions from DOD3 to WIF and how the situation played out?  I've never tried this myself, despite having both games.  Continue

Where oh, where have all the Wif'rs gone? 1 Reply

Okay, I want to know why the pre-orders for the various Wif games have not taken off. Why when I was on the WiF-FE group on yahoo, Harry could do no wrong and everything he touched turned to gold, so…Continue

Vasal

I have started a game of WiF using vassal playing live.  It is pretty neat and the vassal module was well constructed except for having the delete button below the flip button. …Continue

My gaming group just had an interesting World in Flames game that we played along with DoDIII.

The game started as usual and I was playing the Allies. During the France campaign Russia declared war on the UK and proceeded with an invasion of India. Then things got worse, Japan pulled out of China, declared war on the NEI and then declared war on the UK. This was followed by invasions of Australia and New Zealand.

Sea Lion went into effect and UK was conquered. Soon after the UK fell, US declared war on Japan, then Germany, and then later Japan. Soon Japan owned the whole Pacific except for Hawaii. Japan invaded the Polynesian islands, declared Argetina an ally and landed troops there. German invaded Brazil, along with Japan. The US invaded Columbia, built a RR down to Venezula and put a lot of troops down there. Finally in Dec 1944, the Axis player called it quits saying it was to hard to conquer the US and that he could see no opening.

It was an interesting game.
