Despite the uncertain status of ZunTzu, I still find it to be a very desirable platform for creating electronic versions of games for local and solitaire play. While the ZT website has reappeared in…Continue

I can't use ZunTzu for online gaming. If I try to be a HOST, it seems there is something wrong, and no one can connect with me. Also if I try to connect with other people, it's rejected as timeout…Continue

I'm having trouble getting a game-box I've created to work. I've created a couple in the past and have been using a working game-box as a model. Still no joy. Maybe I'm having trouble using WinRar…Continue

Thank you kindly, sir, for the effort. But no joy. I backed up my apps folder, then copied your contents into it. But my executable (named "ZunTzu.application" -- is that what your executble is called?) still attempts to go to the website: "Downloading http://www.zuntzu.com/download/ZunTzu.application did not succeed." Your apps folder was very similar to the one on my system, structurally. I didn't see any major differences.
Gary,
Here is a copy of my ZunTzu install.....I think. All of this was found in C:\Your Name\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0. I am no authority on the inner workings of Windows, so urge CAUTION here. Be careful not to overwrite any files in the same folder which may be particular to your machine. I deleted some stuff from the .zip which I knew for sure was related to other programs. I left some things that may have a relationship to ZunTzu. Again, I am no wiz at these files found in AppData. At the least, take a look and compare our two installs to see if anything jumps out at you. Good luck and be careful.
Bill
Thanks for the link, Hernan, but this installer does a callback to the site -- which is down. Run the installer and you get this: "An error occurred trying to download 'http://www.zuntzu.com/download/ZunTzu.application'." I would love to find the "stand-alone" version of the app, but in all my years with ZunTzu I have only ever seen this "callback" version.
I'm starting to think that the "ZunTzu will be back online soon..." message really means "Thanks and goodbye." Would love to hear otherwise.
Maybe this will help: http://69.89.23.222/files.htm
Perhaps it will help you find a full installer, or meet whatever other system requirement you're missing.
Hmmm, this is maddening... It's clearly on my end. I'm wondering if my PC did some kind of auto update recently that nerfed ZunTzu for me. I have a couple of different installation versions (including the one Bill Ash kindly provided below) and when I try them I either get a "This app can't run on your PC" message, or (as with Bill's) the installation app attempts and fails to access the apparently-dead website (zuntzu.com). I'm perplexed.
No, this is PC. (I was not aware there was a mobile version.) The size of the app is only 5.39 kb, so I always assumed it was sort of a web-based app that did little more than call home to run. I got it directly from the ZunTzu site, and have been running it with no problem for at least six years. Where is this stand-alone version that you all seem to have?
I'm under the impression this is all in reference to the phone app, as I'm not aware of the PC version referencing the web site after installation at all, at least not in any way that absence of the website would prevent it from running.
Thanks. I have tried reinstalling, and I tried again just now with the file you provided. But this is the message I get: "An error occurred trying to download 'http://www.zuntzu.com/download/ZunTzu.application'." It all comes down, apparently, to the fact that the zuntzu site (www.zuntzu.com) is down. Both the app and the installer make a callback to the site -- only now, as of several days ago, the site is gone. I am getting a little panicky, guys, as I have a LOT of hours invested in ZunTzu! :-)
