The official social platform for ConsimWorld
Despite the uncertain status of ZunTzu, I still find it to be a very desirable platform for creating electronic versions of games for local and solitaire play. While the ZT website has reappeared in…Continue

I can't use ZunTzu for online gaming. If I try to be a HOST, it seems there is something wrong, and no one can connect with me. Also if I try to connect with other people, it's rejected as timeout…Continue

I'm having trouble getting a game-box I've created to work. I've created a couple in the past and have been using a working game-box as a model. Still no joy. Maybe I'm having trouble using WinRar…Continue

Don't think so. I've been running Win 10 from the day it was released. And ZunTzu ran fine for all that time, until sometime within the past few weeks.
Maybe it's a Windows 10 thing... I refuse to 'upgrade' until 7 stops working.
Thanks, Greg, but nope. I put your link on my desktop and I get "Downloading http://www.zuntzu.com/download/ZunTzu.application did not succeed."
In'm running Windows 10 Home, 64-bit.
Long shot, but here's my link that works from my desktop...
In the past hour I did a system update and a thorough virus/malware check. It was a longshot. It didn't solve the problem, but at least I can rule that out. I also tried turning the internet off and running the app, and there was no difference whatsoever -- the app still tries, unsuccessfully, to call home.
I have been using ZunTzu for I think around six years, and in that time I am sure I have reinstalled it at least a two or three of times. I always got the installer directly from the zuntzu.com site, and I never had a stand-alone version (zuntzu.exe) show itself. Mine has always been the "call-home" version. I have many hundreds of hours invested in this thing, and I have converted a couple of hundred games -- mostly old SPI titles -- for my own amusement. I will really hate to lose all that.
Windows 7 Pro 64 here... and like I said, it still works for me.
That is odd Greg. Maybe it has to do with windows versions? I am running Windows 10 Home 64bit on my PC, Microsoft Surface Go, and a generic 8" tablet. Works fine on all three.
I don't even have an exe file... just a ClickOnce Application Reference (.appref-ms) which brings up version 1.2 of ZunTzu... maybe later versions have this problem.
Mine isn't under Apps... there's a folder ZunTzu_Software from Sept 2013 which has my user.config
Strange...
My executable is "ZunTzu.exe". At a loss here. Like I said below, I use ZT on a Windows tablet not connected to the internet, so how could it possibly work if it must call back to the website? Weird. As an experiment, can you try disconnecting from the net and see if it will load?
Here is a zip of my "Apps" folder from AppData\Local\Apps from a different hard drive. In this case ZunTzu was the only app installed, so I assume everything in the .zip folder is associated with ZT in someway or other. I had deleted the ICSharpCode stuff from the first .zip thinking it was unrelated:
Oh. Going back to the tablet I keep offline, I ran that setup file below on said tablet while not connecting to the 'net, and it installed and ran perfectly.
