Operational Combat Series Gaming

A series responsible for many a strained marriage and relationship, not to mention the severe restrictions it gives us in reduced living space when set up. Why do we do it? Certainly we must be a special breed worthy of our own group. Enter!

Playtest for OCS_Hungarian Rhapsody started.

It will contain 12 scenarii from 6 Oct 1944 to the end of March 1945: The Battle of Debrecen, the fight for Budapest, the Konrad operations, Südwind, Spring Awakening, Operation Vienna...and many more...

Now, "The Battle of Debrecen" is under playtest. 8 turns from 5 Oct 44 to 29 oct 44.

Soon...more informations...and pictures...:-)

I found the GBII/CB first winter rules a little difficult to stomach given that I don't think they go anywhere near far enough in restricting German capabilities as they should.  When I see the Luftwaffe free to wipe out the combat effectiveness of Soviet units in a period where they literally were lighting fires to warm up the engines of those aircraft that were actually serviceable my blood pressure goes up.  When I see German Panzers dancing around my lines across deep snow covered fields....(argh!)

You can always use vassal to play any game with two or less maps.

I am looking for OCS gamers in the Minneapolis St. Paul area.  You can contact me at bauerdb@aol.com.  I have the games and the room but little experience and am tired of solitare.
