Opponent Finder: Pacific Time Zone

Anyone else have difficulty finding opponents available for online play (e.g., Vassal) during Pacific Time hours? I know I do. I though a group to help identify people who fit that profile might be useful to others.

Looking for cyberboard/Vassel Fulda Gap or Downtown players.

Perhaps it would be appropriate to use this list for -finding- your opponent and then, once found, coordinate details off-line?  It would improve the signal-to-noise ratio for people who aren't in your neck of the woods.

Hi Joey - I have a dedicated room at our house.  Baltic Gap is set up on one side because a friend and I play once a month on a SAT.  We finished DAK2 and Tunisia a while back, and now we're doing BG while waiting for the GB2 reprint and getting ready for a CB campaign.  So ... I've got room.  I will know if I am free later tonight.

Hopeful.  :-)

Yes I'll be there if I do not have work. I am an engineering consultant and

one year I had to work and missed most of the event. I do attend every year. In fact you look familiar to me from years past. I'm probably one of the oldest guys there any more which makes me a little self conscious. Hope to see you there.

Dick, if you're in Phoenix then I assume I will see you at CSW in June?  :-)

You are right about that. As you struggled to teach me the system it slowley dawned on me that the Vassal system is much more useful for PBEM and ZT being a much less sophisticated system would only really work well in "face to face" internet experience. I definitly want to learn the system so I can do more on line play. I suspect V can also be used my multi players on these monster games. I'm a slow learner I'm afraid.

VASSAL is like any other program. I recall issues with ZunTzu when I first encountered it.

Hi Greg,

I'm in Phoenx, so cant play face to face. Just started game with Joey but am new to vassel. Can't say it is user friendly like ZunTsu so having some problems for Joey to deal with sorry to say. But I'm open to games. Maybe not

big OCS, but maybe smaller game. Also ZunTsu with DAK 2 is very easy to play. Would be up for that. Or a joint game with Joey if that is possible on game tbd.
