Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
"Accidentally" got into wargames in late 2005 while searching for old childhood boardgames of the 80s. First purchase was Crusader Rex and Bonaparte at Marengo. Quickly got into the heavies after that... second purchase was Whistling Death, after that Great Battles of Alexander and Pax Romana.
Your favorite game(s):
My favorite game systems so far ...
ASL, Fighting Wings, Operational Combat System, Close Action, Birds of Prey

I'm plan to look into Seekrieg 5 next.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Case Blue, ASL, Close Action, Fighting Wings, Birds of Prey, Warbirds
What game(s) have you played recently?
Burning Blue, Downtown
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
At least 30 minutes a day PBEM
How big is your game collection?
Not too big ... 50ish.
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Yogyakarta, Indonesia.... not many boardgamers here!
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
I enjoy military and political history a lot. Most of my movie collection and book collection revolves around this interest.
My music tastes are diverse. I tend to enjoy music of the 50s to 70s most of the time.

Hi! Most likely it's because we're a very rare species here. Even mainstream boardgamers are quite rare (although their population is rising quickly).

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I picked up an updated edition of P. W. Singer's 'Corporate Warriors' at Kinokuniya last night. Hopefully, this doesn't have that silly, flippant tone of 'Wired for War' which was attempting a cross-over mainstream appeal for increased sales. There…

I thought the only possible mitigation could come from severe mental illness, or perhaps a cerebral parasite that's eating away at the tastefulness center of the brain.

I suppose the bad taste of it can be ameliorated by assuming they're for Halloween. Such assumptions are occasionally required to tolerate ones own species.
