Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
I played with Toy Soldiers as a child, but was formally introduced to Board Wargaming in 1974, when I joined the Army and was stationed in Kornwestheim (Stuttgart/GER) and met a group of like minded soldiers who introduced me to SPI and S&T magazine. First sub issue...Breitenfeld.
Your favorite game(s):
I still like a lot of the Old Classics...NAW/NLB and any offshoots, 30 Years War Quad, etc., but I also like a lot of the new stuff out there too...GMT's Great Battles system (SPQR, Alexander, Belasarius, etc). Mainly interested in Colonial Era Wargames...especially in India/Africa from 1757-1939.

Looking at the pictures of my so-called "Friends" up there....I'm starting to feel like "Flounder" when he was a sorority pledge in Animal House...e-GADS!

Toy Soldiers count? You mean the hundreds of little plastic army men we used to set about the yard in tactical formations and throw rocks for artillery are to be counted as wargaming for this purpose, the introduction to consim gaming? Damn!

That photo is way different to the one that used to be on CSW Andrew - I wouldn't have recognised you; even assuming you are the one on the left ;-)
