FG & DN Jump Start

Had a day of playing Fear God and Dread Nought yesterday. A first game for 3 of the four of us. The veteran (Ian) ran the German forces; I was gamemaster.



We had a great time. The game has a partially deserved rep for being highly complex. I'd created a 4-page set of abridged rules (covering the rules required for the Jump Start scenario) and with these play flowed very smoothly despite the lack of experience. Planning my first game of "Fear God & Dread Nought" next Saturday. We're playing the 'Jump Start' scenario, The claim that you'll be up and playing in 30 minutes is laughable. I've spent many hours preparing for this. Looking forward to it though. I'm umpiring the game. prior to the get together we've moved to first contact. Here the HMS Aurora sights the SMS Pillau (in the centre distance) 6.9 nm away.…
