Hello, Armando. I'm relatively new to the world of wargaming, and I'm looking to get involved with any wargamers/wargame groups in the Pittsburgh area. I'm aware of GASP, and I want to attend one of their meetings in the near future (my job sometimes prevents me from venturing into the city on weekends). Any insights on where I should start looking?

Fish is good. When it comes to Warhammer, start with fantasy but then switch over to "historical" warhammer. They have the "Great War" out as a book.

My son used to show up at Winds of War and then Gary Fortenberry of ASL fame introduced him to Magic. No ASL ever after that though he did play Robo Rally at a distant Avaloncon.

Ci arrendiamo! as they say in ASL and Italian.

Thanks, Armando. I'll try to touch bases with Steve at some point in the near future.

Wow! I hardly remembered. I was born in Oil City north of Pittsburgh. I still do ASL, of course. I also took some courses in Italian because I need to know such abbreviations from the Italian Army such as AM (asino morto, in reality Military Administration in Italian). Ray.

Armando - I'm an (aspiring) ASL player from Bethel Park. Are you interested in new opponents?

I'm still here in Allison Park, though Line of Departure has a Gibsonia mailing address. Regardless, except for a short span of time as a young child, I've been somewhere around Pittsburgh my entire life.

Armando, which part of Pittsburgh are you in? And were at the Phantom for the great September's Eagles demo over the winter for Against the Odds?
