Ancients First Play

Howdy All,Having finally assembled (enough of) my Ancients set, I got to playing last night. My opponent was defeated by allergies, so couldn't play. I forged ahead and played solitaire, using the Mantinea scenario.Even with my flipping around the small rulebook, double-checking stuff and such, it took about 60 minutes tops.At the end of which found the Spartans completely trounced the Thebans.I quite enjoyed the game play.See More

Ancients First Play

Howdy All,

Having finally assembled (enough of) my Ancients set, I got to playing last night. My opponent was defeated by allergies, so couldn't play. I forged ahead and played solitaire, using the Mantinea scenario.

Even with my flipping around the small rulebook, double-checking stuff and such, it took about 60 minutes tops.

At the end of which found the Spartans completely trounced the Thebans.

I quite enjoyed the game play.
