"I can think of two novels in which the protagonists are enthusiasts for Avalon Hill wargames:  Roberto Bolaño's The Third Reich and Greg Pickell's Marching on Tuzla. Are there others?"

Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
I played SPI games when I was a lad. If memory serves, the first was "Bloody Ridge."
Your favorite game(s):
Squad Leader: Crescendo of Doom
Squad Leader: Cross of Iron
World at War: Stalingrad
World at War: Operation Crusader
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Alas, I am not at present playing a game. :O(
What game(s) have you played recently?
In December of 2016, I designed, organized, and umpired a free Kriegspiel inspired by a wargame run by the British Army in 1907. The scenario called for the dispatch of a "striking force" to assist the Belgian defenders of Antwerp against a "Continental Power."
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
Far too little.
How big is your game collection?
Far too small.
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
We don't have a game club here in Quantico, but we do have a Case Method Club.
About Me

Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)

The first of these took place in a workshop designed to improve the teaching skills of US Marines assigned as instructors.  The other two were meetings of the…
