I remember when I first started really reading about the Russian front. All those tank battles and artillery barrages made me want to find the perfect Russian Front game. the first game I bought on the subject was Russian Front and I thought it was…

I wish a small game on the ETO would be made. One map playable in a few hours with not a whole lot of pieces. This is my Holy Grail in wargaming. LNL, Victory Point, OSS; someone please make it!!!! As I am getting on in years (not yet 40 but close)…

Brett, I just glanced at the pdf. It looks great. I plan on printing it out at work to read it more closely. Nice job.

Lawrence, I initially thought of using Flashpoint Golan rules to play the Central Front games. I saw the maps were the same scale and the units in both games were similiar sizes. I think FP:G portrays modern combat very well and I like the system m…

Brett, Thanks for the kind words. Chris Fawcett deserves the lions share of the praise for making all those counters up. I really like FP:G and getting the counters made for this game were just great. Good luck with the AAR, I will continue to follo…

Funny stuff.....

Got this in an e-mail today. I thought it was pretty funny. Happy Birthday to all my fellow Marines out there. OOH-RAH! Semper Fi

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments.
He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan .. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU .

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in he looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to kn… Continue

Okay, DAK it is. If you don't already have the rules you can get the 4.0 rules and charts from the web and the DAK2 rules as well. I am reading up on the rules but not have read the air or sea rules.

I'll start chopping those units out.

Dan,

There are a few scenarios I have in mind. 2 from EATG and 2 from DAK both are one or two mappers with a few counters. I just need to know now which you perfer to do so I can punch out those counters for Nov/Dec.

Let me know.

Dan,

Let me know your schedule (offline) for May so we can hook up for a game. Just played my two sons this weekend with Axis & Allies D-Day, great fun I'll buy a few more so I can get them closer to hexes. May get Memoir 44 and want to get EotS (they like Card Driven games so...).

Hey if I get them up to speed we can do a three play with the oldest one day (lol).

Cheers.

Dan,

I recently just got SPI 1973 WWII game. I also have SPI WWIII and SPI Global War. I am thinking of setting WWII tonight and playing with it (wife is away for the evening and this can be played in one night).

Hope you can game again soon.

I've found the internal debate (i.e. the debate in my head) has been to either play a lot of games poorly or a few games well. I prefer the latter model, but then you must, as you say, find that set of holy grail games that one chooses to become goo…

Chris: Really - that's a good point. I wonder if the Audi folks realized the message they were sending out with this one. I doubt if anyone found it funny in the least. Smitty

Yes, this was a creepy ad. I looked at the Audi website to compare this car to others. Oddly enough, you are unable to compare it to the VW SportWagon TDI, which gets exactly the same mileage.
