Game Day

Went out to play Virgin Queen opposed.

Full table of players. We only got a few turns in
(in many hours), but this is the type of gaming &
group that I should like.

Instead though, I'm just fatigued. Much as from
the couple other times I've done opposed play
in the last couple years (other than with the wife).

Beginning to think that I've just become too asocial to really enjoy anymore.

Some soloist thoughts

I suspect most folk here have it all down pretty good,

but someone asked a few questions, and I thought I'd express them:

A couple of hints though (especially if your memory is good).

Take lots of breaks - you can't play interactive games as

quickly as I-go-you-go ones, or you'll remember too much.

Get hooked on the story. For me, even when I'm not taking a

break, I spend some time…

Happy Birthday Enrico. May the dice roll your way today, but since you play solo a lot this may be meaningless....

I have been feeling restless of late. Not reading a good book. Just staring at the game shelf. So I rolled up my sleeves and grabbed CoF and started to go over the rules. Then played solo, which is another thing I have not done in a long, long time.

And you know what? It felt really good to get back into both solo'ing and GBoH. Really good. Now I am digging through a book on chariot warfare and feeling a little like my old self again.

Hey Enrico. Are you still trying to figure out this interface. Me too. I am getting a bit better at it. Or is that bitter? Regardless, it is nice to see you here. Jon.
