Hi Gerald,

Metropolis is a game for 2-5 players. Players basically begin in a farming community and help build it into a town into a city into a teeming metropolis. A bit of politics are thrown in but it is basically a build-up type game.

It was amazing when you saw 3 1/2 feet of snow on the ground and thinking - there's no restaurant or trail to go on or to!

We traced a fair amount of their route on our trip from FT Lewis (near Seattle) to Helena Montana. Even better we had 2 huge storms (one blizzard like) to work through so it gave one a different appreciation.

I find your project fascinating and worthwhile.I have done a lot of traveling this year past to places like Idaho, Montana, Eastern Washington and Alaska - the more remote and barren places and often contemplate life eons back. Even the Lewis and Clark expedition boggles my mind.

I've seen The Uninvited about 12-14 times, in 4 different states (CA, NC, SC, GA). They even put us on their bar tab in Athens, GA, since we'd driven down from SC to see them play (they were opening for Cheap Trick, but we were there for The Uninvited).
They released about 8 CDs, and there are some songs that were re-released on later CDs, but for the most part it's all different - and very good - music. It's too bad they put the band on hiatus, but they've all got families to raise.

There are lots of games for CyberBoard and, if you're up to trying it, I can probably help you through it. The card driven games are especially good. For instance, For The People or Barbarossa to Berlin or Twilight Struggle (especially good). Are any of these of interest?

Ted, didn't see the Tiananmen Square track, but it sits right above the victory points. At my age, you have to look twice at things :-)

I suppose the bad taste of it can be ameliorated by assuming they're for Halloween. Such assumptions are occasionally required to tolerate ones own species.
