Isaiah, great news that you got a chance to play the game. I'm going to be out of town on the 25th (in Pullman for WSU vs USC game), but keep me posted when you might have a chance to get together. I've been reading through the rules and it looks like a fun game that I'd enjoy playing.

Hello Isaiah. Yes, Combat Commander should be a good step up from Memoir 44 since it's also a card driven game, but I can see how the length of the rules and some of the concepts may be difficult to grasp if you're not familiar with more complex wargames. I downloaded a copy of the rule book from the GMT site (version 1.1, is that the lastest?), and will give them a read through. It looks like a fun game, so I'd really like to try it out and I'm sure we could get up and running between the two of us. Let me know when the best days/times are for you to get together. Do you have a place to play? Unfortunately my game room is out of commsion right now. Alternately, I know that Merlyn's has open gaming tables until 9:00 pm every night.

Hey Isaiah, I thought I'd move the discussion over here instead of the Washington Gamers group. Yes, I know a few scattered wargamers around the Spokane area. I haven't done any local gaming recently though.

Combat Commander does look interesting. I can probably download the rules at GMT's website and maybe we can get together in the near future to give it a try. Where do you do most of your gaming in town?
