Quite a few then...lol
I also have Malta, plus Nemo's War and Forlorn Hope.
Have you ever tried printing and playing, as there is a game by Bill Banks called ancients which is available for free to download, but you do have to print it out and mount the counters
Sounds good to me.
What other VPG titles do you have? I can possibly lay my hands on some VPG titles
My Dad served in the WW2 as well, and he served a small amount of time in North Africa while the warship he served on was being repaired in Alexandria
Hi Jim.
I have a few VPG games but I will only list the non-solitaire games which I have.
Busacco 20 ( played)
Vittoria (not played)
Operation Veritable (played)
Austerlitz ( not played)
The ones I have played, I have played solo, as i have no FTF opponents.
I can try others, as they do allow you to download the rules for their games so I can learn the rules on any game
Hi Jim, sorry about the delay. I have never Pbem either, but it would be fun to try. I only have a few VPG games, and I have none of the ones you mention...ha ha ha...but VPG do allow downloads of their rules, so I can easily get a copy and we could play on Vassal or CB.
It would be good for both of us newbies to try it out, as I am sure it will be fun and exciting.
Jim: I think Star Borders would be OK for solitaire play if you wanted a quick little spaceship battle game. Players have options to purchase "development cards" that give them special abilities. You are supposed to keep the development cards secret until the special ability is used. So that could be a problem since you would know what special ability the other side has, the element of "surprise" would be lost. But you could work around that.
