Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
Started playing D&D with Bill Ramsay and other friends in high school. That led to Bill's huge collection of consims and minis. The rest is history.
Your favorite game(s):
Almost anything naval, ACW, WWI (esp. eastern front), odd and obscure topics. I've been sucked into WW2 land gaming, again esp. eastern front--used to hate WW2.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Star Trek Frontiers, Israeli Independence, Panzer Grenadier Blue Division
What game(s) have you played recently?
Go (learning), Flt Cmndr Nimitz (just a taste), some roleplaying
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
Don't know, but between all modes incl. computers, more than a little.
How big is your game collection?
As I catalog my collection with the help of BGG, I so far have 836 titles of all types (incl. board, card, minis)
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Great River Gaming Guild, Quincy, IL; Quincy Tabletop Gamers
About Me
I'm 56 y.o. I spent 30+ years in radio, and also drove a van picking up and dropping off railroad crews for three years. Now I'm in forced retirement. In 2010 I had lymphoma. I beat it but had severe chemo-induced neuropathy which affected my legs. Then in 2015, while driving back to terminal, my van was struck from behind by a semi, resulting in a broken back for me. They fixed my back but the nerve damage affected my arms, legs, hands and feet so much I'm permanently disabled. I still do voice work for the radio station, and research and write news stories as a "consultant", but mostly I read or write or sing or play games. I CAN walk, with a walker, but only short distances. Otherwise I have a nice power wheelchair with which I manage to run into everything.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
Reading, writing, singing, listening to music (classical, jazz, choral), playing games, watching good TV and movies

SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS - Compass

TARGET FOR TODAY - Legion

A GMT threepak score of Iron & Oak, Rebel Raiders, and The Kaisers Pirates

SAILS OF GLORY - way too many little ships :)

Kevin, I found out that I'll be doing some work in Quincy the week of July 14th, Aside from your Thursday evening RPG group, is there any other gaming that typically takes place during the week? I'd love to sit in on a casual session, if so.

Kevin,

Sorry that it has taken so long for me to reply. "War in the Shadows" has been backburnered and when it comes to light again it will probably be with KPG. The ACW is in a slump currently in popularity. However, I read that Ty Bomba is thinking of the Trans-Miss.
