Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
I had the usual MB/Parker Bros. games as a kid-Battlecry,1863,PT109 etc. When I was 13 I saw in our local J.C. Penny store AH's Waterloo & Gettysburg so these were my first true wargames. Stalingrad , Africa Korps,Battle of the Bulge soon followed.I then discovered these wonderful wargames at the Hallmark book/gift store that were in these flat plastic trays-the good ol' SPI games!. Thats when my gaming and collecting really took off. So with this I was able to be a gamer in the Golden Age/Back in the Day era for the hobby( 1970's) Haven't look back since.
Your favorite game(s):
My favorite games are OSG/CoA Napoleon at Leipzig and NES Dresden & Napoleon on the Danube and Decision games S&T's Clash of Eagles on Borodino & Friedland. after that any of the old SPI quads and Conflict Co. games. I guess any of the old SPI,GDW,AH or Rand games from the old days are up in the ranks and the ones I play the most. I should add in the new Napoleonic20 series from Victory Point Games, well all the games from VPG are now in the list. and also all the GMT games.

Come to think of it, any good game that perks my interest is on my favorite list.Any GMT game is right at the top.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
I post that over on the "Whats on the Table folder so it's up to date
What game(s) have you played recently?
Same thing as currently playing. post on the "Whats on the Table,Out of the Wrapper" folders for updated info
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
work days -3 hours a day, weekends maybe 4-5 hours a day.add more time for research etc for my game designs.
How big is your game collection?
2,800+ .Yes it's that big! maybe even heading close to 2,900. Hey,been in the hobby for 39 yrs.
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
No longer in a game club.we had one back in the 80's,early 90's. Miss that group!
About Me
I'm 53 now.started real wargaming at 13. I worked for the Postal Service 29 1/2 years and add to that in the Army for 3 years back in the mid 70's.

I'm now retired and loving it.more time for reading, gaming and game designing. I have two games already published-Vittoria20 and Austerlitz20 by VPG
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
I like movies of all kinds except the newer horror ones( give me the old 30's-40's horror movies).Any SF from the 50's.. any John Wayne movie,All war movies or James Bond.

I even like the so called romance/chick flicks.

Books ,well military history is the top for me.couple thousand books too. after that I like Sherlock Holmes or the Clancy novels. a good Sci-Fi book is always good. still love Starship Troopers.
