"OK I got a work around for this. You put the Hex Draw .exe in a folder somewhere different from program files. I put mine in my user folder. It will now want to save new overlays to that folder. This also fixes a handling exception error when you…"

Overlays Problem

Just got another computer windows 7 (old one was dieing)because I was afraid Hex draw Might not work on Windows 10. Now when I go to create an overlay my external Graphics program does not open up. Yes I do have the correct program set as the default for .bmp. Hex draw always worked in Windows 7 before. Any solutions? See More

Miniature Games are definitely a distinct genre. If you have trouble calling your playing surface a MAP and you are sticking a little man on that surface it belongs here.

Ya caught me at just the correct time. I was working on the 1/30 French ligne and the 2/3 Duchy of Warsaw ligne, got a case of the Ivebeensittingtoolongs and checked email. Voila!!

BTW I've switched my methodology a bit. I start about a dozen figures. Get the basic uniform done and then do the finicky bits on a figure by figure basis. I combine the Poles and the French cuz the basic uniform is the same [ie. white trousers, blue jacket]. Not really in a hurry to get either done.

I agree if there's no miniatures forum we should start one...
