Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
My dad taught me about gaming in the mid-late 70's. Panzerblitz, and P-leader, 1776, Blitzkreig, and the like. He gave me Tactics II for my 8th birthday, or was it christmas? I got sidetracked into D & D for a while, then no gaming for a long time. Then I was re-introduced to gaming by learning that an acquaintance was a gamer, Thanks Bob! I have since gone to a few gaming events, and now run a gaming group out of a local library once a month to try to corrupt others.
Your favorite game(s):
The last game I played, or the one I'll play next, haven't decided.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Next on the list is A Victory Denied.
What game(s) have you played recently?
Unfortunately my gaming group is accommodating to the lowest common denominator.

Age of Empires III
Friedrich
War of the Ring This was a fun game to play.
Starfarers and settlers of Catan, wife likes settlers.
Ticket to ride. Daughter likes this a lot now.
Ave Caesar. Daughter learned how to play cut-throat on this game.
Britannia
A Victory Lost
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
not enough
How big is your game collection?
not big enough, we'll see how much I can spand until Xmas forces the $ elsewhere
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Westford VT strategy gaming club. All are welcome.

Matt --- I had another thought for multi-player, "strategic" level, might-be-playable--in-4-hours games (though I see it's out of print so you'd need to shop around) but Sword of Rome would be a winner. Wellington would also be a good. Wellington might actually be better as I see it's a. still available and b. cheap. I'm talking about the GMT game. The Napoleonic Wars also by GMT might be good too.

Matt,
It sounds as though reality is a factor in your gaming, and I guess that's unavoidable. But as long as someone's gaming, even if it's a couple of hours a week, it's still better than nothing at all.
