Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
In the Fall 1979 Iwe moved closeby not only a classmate, but also a wargamer. He was patient enough to start with me with France 1940, 3rd Reich, Afrika Korps. Then after Jumior College we reunited again with his older brother and really start to go serious playing 3 full campaings of World In Flames in two years. I long for those days where our bodies weren't on timers lol...
Your favorite game(s):
Empire of the Sun, Triumph of Chaos, most of the SCS. But basically i'm up for anything. Curiously I don't really care for Napoleonic or Civil War games. Altho my best gaming experience was with Empire in Arms, which shoulb be re-actualized in my humble opinion. I try to attend Game conventions when I can. 3 kids will do that lol. And if John Kranz ever decide to bring Monstercom to the East... Yet I could probably convince my wife that Phoenix can be a nice area to visit while i burn my cell brain.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Not much of solitaire player. Right now, my goal is to learn LnL Island War, plus Asia Engulfed. I wouldnt mind being taugh ASL from the starter kit.
What game(s) have you played recently?
Combat Commander, Normandy'44, Dominant Species
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
These days, about one session every other week.
How big is your game collection?
about 400 games, but triming it slowly down.
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)

About Me
I'm a trader, so process if decision making is related to my hobby :-)
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
I have a masters in film studies. In no way my work is related to my field of study, but I do still have a strong attachment to what I always wanted to do, be aDirector or at least teach film history. I like a wide variety of films, but I tend to really like european movies, Germans, French, Italians, Scandinavian and British. I used to go international film fest and get a fix. It's now tougher to see those films since, only a few of their "national " films cross the Atlantic. Few DVD's available, yet I own an international coded DVD, and buy some movies from oversea.

Asfor music, Montreal is a nice place to live. Arcade Fire, Stars, The Dears, and some moere independant band from the Canadian industry. I like especially Broken Social Scene (I think they did the soundtrack for Half Nelson, really good independant movie). I like classical music as well, and will be attendning the Leonard Cohen show, probably in one of his last tour.

Winterwegitter part deux !

Well this is a learning game. Dan and I are moving forward. His German finally broke Askia river in two spots. One of the two is weak enough for meto take the bridge the other way around. We finished 7 turns so far. It's pretty even so far. Problem or him is wave of rerinforcements coming soon, and half his planes are flown, compared to me getting my full Air Force.

Some pictures will be posted on consimworld. If I can get Dan's pic.

Impatiently waiting for GMT East.

March 1st. I'm member #99... The Great One :-)

First time I'm using a blog. My English is probably better than your Chinese, still it's my second language. You've been warned.

Getting prepared slowly to attend GMT East Convention next weekend. This year I'm booked solid. Friday morning, Pax Romana, 4 players game. I figure it should be going up to 18:00. Then at about 19:00, 7 ages, a game I would really like to play for a long run without the perspective of going back home fr midnight because I'm working the next day. Perfect.… Continue

That is just a vague future idea. A game of power set in Shanghai. But I haven't started on that one yet.

You can see two counters on my page here. Scroll up to the top. I myself have just received my copy of Tonkin, and Slouch hats and Hell over Korea as well. I must say that it looks good :-)

Thanks! I hope you will like it. My next two projects are the development of Redverse Reverse (battle of Colenso) (you might have seen some recent counter art) and my own game Dien Bien Phu.

Bonjour!

Marc, Verizon was bought out by FairPoint at the beginning of the year (though I didn't change other guys in my address book, oy vey!). Pretty much you can substitute myfairpoint.net for verizon.net.
