Mac's Mad Lair of Ludomania

Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
One Christmas, long, long ago, my cousin "Georgie" MacLean received a copy of "Tactics" from our grandfather. We were very enthusiastic from the start, having already been playing chess for many years. It snowballed steadily from there...
Your favorite game(s):
My Top 5 are: Anzio, Flashpoint: Golan, Here I Stand, Twilight Struggle, Victory in the Pacific.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Victory in the Pacific
What game(s) have you played recently?
'Spartacus' (Compass), 'Age of Conan' and 'Arkham Horror' (FFG), 'Twilight Struggle' and 'Unhappy King Charles!' (GMT), 'A Most Dangerous Time' and 'Warriors of God' (MMP)
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
Varies between 0 and 30 hours per week.
How big is your game collection?
At last count - well, I've never really counted - >3000, including duplicate copies or new editions of some.
About Me
Born in the Grampian Highlands of Scotland. Los Angeles became my longtime home beginning in the late 1960s. Now living in Japan (but part of each year in Scotland).

Currently designing/developing Gatros, which is a reworking of the old Metagaming Microgame "One World" (not to be confused with the Simulations Canada title, "The One World"). See link below for more info.

Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
What else is there but gaming? Seriously, my true, life-long passion is music and the history thereof. I also worked as a computer programmer and general systems analyst for many years. Though (mostly) retired, I still dabble and give sage (if "old-school") advice on interface design to the up-and-comings of the profession (for a fee, of course).

It's been some time since I heard Moribund the Burgomeister, that was a great song to upload.
