Game Storm Plans?

Does anyone here have plans for Game Storm 15 this March? The convention is scheduled for March 21-24 at the Hilton in Vancouver, Washington.I am going to try and run a couple of multi-player events. The big problem for me is that I have a reservation for the hotel for the weekend but no potential roommates on the horizon to share the expenses. I don't know that I can come up with $400 out of my own pocket for a room by myself, and the commute from Portland doesn't work well late at night if…See More

"@ Roger Morely - the first PBEM game has been very awkward, especially since the game in question is a WEGO game (moves are executed simultaneously). PBEM depends for success on ability to come up with turns quickly without really knowing how it is…"

"Ideally there should be someplace away from the table where people can eat without disturbing the setup on the table. The problem I have is how you play in a small apartment."

Snacks or a Meal?

If you are going to be doing a marathon gaming session over the course of a Saturday, how good an idea is it to take a break for a real meal at a suitable time as opposed to subsisting the entire day on snackier fare?Recently I was fortunate enough to be in a Napoleonic Wars game that was interrupted after the first full turn (which is composed of numerous impulses by the various powers) by the presentation of two fresh-baked pizzas that did wonders for our morale. What sort of real meal works…See More

Food for Wargaming

The issue of snacks is common for wargamers - etiquette being one branch, the other being what to eat and drink.
