La Bataille d'Albuera

Despite the old counters, La Bataille d'Albuera has the potential to serve as a good introduction to the La Bataille series. Here's the full video of my recent playthrough: There are only a small number of specific rules, and they're easy to implement. It's also a relatively easy battle to manage, consisting of just the one-map, but having plenty of battalions to keep both sides occupied. There are also a few 'what-ifs' that players can explore, giving both sides a sense of control and agency…See More

La Bataille de Mont Saint Jean [complete]

It took my about 4-weeks of regular play, dedicating roughly 1-2 hours each night [with a few missed nights], but I finally completed La Bataille de Mont Saint Jean [Battle of Waterloo], using the Marie Louise Rules, and the compiled reports, totalling just over three hours, are now up here: See More

La Bataille de Mont Saint Jean

I've spent the past few days reading the exclusive rules; punching, clipping and sorting the counters; and finally, setting up the game.

Now it's time to get started at Clash of Arm's La Bataille de Mont Saint Jean which combines their La Bataille des Quatre Bras and La Bataille de Ligny. I need to spend some time figuring out…

Tactical/Regimental-level Napoleonic Wargames?

There seem to be quite a few difference tactical/regimental-level Napoleonic wargames. Does anyone have experience with a broad range of these, enough to recommend one (or a series) above others?
