Avalanche Press' ALAMEIN scenario 'Race to the Wire'.

I have agreed that the scenario needs a bit of tweaking.  I'm not sure what the Developer was thinking.  I'm sure the original designer, Brian Knipple, intended for the Allied player to go first.  Historically, it might not make that much difference as the Axis were unsure of the Allied positions and were busily driving East to get into the Alamein positions as quick as possible so to penetrate them.  Looking at the setup, though, I think it's intended that the Allied formations of 1st and 7th armored divisions get a bit more out in front.  In that way, the Axis can still attempt driving to the East OR engage the armored divisions but the armored divisions will not be so easily trapped.

Hi Ola!!!

I have followed your comments and AARs for the AP 'Decisive Battle' series with great interest.  It's a shame many of the graphic images at the Kriegspiel site no longer appear to function correctly.  I quite enjoyed the overlaid graphics that explained the plans and options and such.

How do I join the 'AP Operational Series of Games Group'?  Is there a moderator I should approach?

Thank you!
