Welcome to the CONSIMWORLD Social Website!  Don't know if anyone could ever get enough of the GCACW system and games, given that they play so differently every single time you sit down with them.  Sure sometimes a lucky streak on the initiative rolls lead to blowouts, but those are infrequent and it's easy enough to set the game back up to the starting positions and proceed from there.  Jours de Gloire is also an excellent system and I like to think I've played the better games in the series but know I'll never get to them all, particularly some of the more esoteric battles!  Hope you find some groups here you are interested in participating in and--if you don't--that you'll create some of your own!
