Operational Combat Series Gaming

A series responsible for many a strained marriage and relationship, not to mention the severe restrictions it gives us in reduced living space when set up. Why do we do it? Certainly we must be a special breed worthy of our own group. Enter!

Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
I have been a member of BGG for 3 years and collected a considerable amount of games. I am now reading rules for Combat Commander. I want to become proficient enough to play on Vassal. Also Battle above the Clouds and Stonewall Jacksons way II . learned of CSW from BGG. Always looking for opponents in the Lansing MI area for FTF gaming.
Your favorite game(s):
Since childhood, Euchre. Lots of people play in Michigan. I have a feeling once I get the rules embroidered in my mind, my favorite game will be
Space Empires and Eclipse
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Battle Above the Clouds Combat Commander
What game(s) have you played recently?
Battle above the Clouds. Also a learning game of Combat Commander. Cant wait to get back at it with Fred Rauscher. I will be playing the game solo until we can meet again.
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
No where near as much as I would like because of the lack of an opponent
How big is your game collection?
about 200 games.
About Me
I am retired, have lots of time, a spouse who doesnt like games that have lots of pieces. I really enjoy lighter war games but playing time is limited because of not having BG playing friends. My goal for 2014 is to become proficient enough in a game to play on Vassal.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
I read 2 to 4 hours a day Work in my wood shop and have just retired from the Arts and Craft circuit after 10 years since I first retired. I still do lots of pieces on my wood lathe which I enjoy as long as I'm not pressured to do it.
