I missed out when Matt hosted the Blind Germantown game. I was still just beginning to study the rules, but shop work took priority. Paul Borchers said it was great fun- The Fog indeed!

Hopefully I can get back to the BAR study soon. They're the most complex and detailed games I've ever seen, so I look at it almost like taking a College course.

Did you manage to get the rules down?

Yep, the Rev War is the only period in the 18th century that I have any gaming interest in at all. CoA's two games are pretty much the last work in tactical (regimental) games. Matt Hinkle just finished up the game Fontenoy, which includes the v3.0 Basic BAR Rules. I'd like to get all that spliced in to Brandywine/Germantown before I commit to a serious game.

Oddly, though I'm a wargamer and model kit Nut (tanks), I somehow never got into miniatures. I would have loved to do that with the Greco-Persian Wars! Do you game anything Greek?
