Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
My professorial father wanted to wean me off from television and comic books in the 1970s. He read an article in Atlantic Monthly about Origins and wargaming. He bought me SPI's Bastogne (from the Westwall Quad). The rest was history. I have never left the hobby in over 30 years.
Your favorite game(s):
Combat Commander, Paths of Glory, Totaler Krieg, Most Block Games from Columbia and GMT
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Here I Stand (FTF), Combat Commander
What game(s) have you played recently?
Small World, Word on the Street, Descent, Starcraft, Combat Commander.
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
3-8 hours a month, unless you count Dungeons and Dragons Online in which case it is probably about an hour a day average.
How big is your game collection?
Much smaller since I seriously culled it and used the funds to get my daughter through college!
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Midwest Area Game Enthusiasts (MAGE)
About Me
Withdrew from the hobby a few years ago, when work and family pressures intervened. There are not many board wargamers in this little spot of the Midwest. I am a teacher, and counselor by training.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
Favorite activities: Playing Dungeons and Dragons Online, Cooking, Playing Dance Central on The Kinect, and going to my daughter's school and college events. Favorite Movies: A Bridge Too Far, Star Wars, LotR. Favorite books: The Song of Ice and Fire series by Martin. Music: Classical and Classic Rock especially The Who.

Well, I certainly enjoyed my visits there, Bob. You have a good group of folks there, and I would not pass up the chance to visit again, if I could.
