The Executive Summary --

Scott, where can I find marketing information for this game?

The Detailed description --

Scott, are you limited in the amount of material you're allowed to release prior to shipping? I'm active on both BGG and F:At and there just isn't sufficient information available for people to give this a game the consideration I think it deserves. I made a fairly desperate plea on one of your BGG threads to see a bit of the game play explained with some reasonable level of detail, especially a summary of a game turn that you could lift from the current draft of the rule book.

Most in CSW forums understand the basic concepts of modern wargames. What I find common at the other two sites (and I have to admit recent membership in this club) is that most people have a misguided understandings of how modern wargames work. Common opinion for those not deep into this part of the hobby is more akin to PanzerLeader than Kingdom of Heaven, and I think that hurts your preorders.

Since I've been evangelizing on this part of the genre a bit (particularly on F:At) I've had people asking me for better analogies. Twilight Struggle serves to some extent -- a game that straddles the line, but there is simply a lack of marketing information for this and other Multi-Man games that I think would get more chatter if their core gameplay was available for review.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that BGG in particular is full of whiners that are as likely to ping you for color scheme as ruleset, but it would be refreshing to see them actually have to come to terms with what the game actually is when they express their opinions. If there is text you are permitted to forward I would very much appreciate a link. I covered Winter Offensive this past January on F:At and I have been receiving some questions on Kingdom of Heaven because of it (in spite of not seeing it there). I'm on the preorder.

Sag.

Note -- I tried to post this to the KoH thread, but my application for a login ID appears to still be in the works. It may be just as well it's posted here instead.

Is to know about the scenarios translation, no rush, just to have a schedule.

Numantia is not so close when one is traveling by train, so I missed it, unfortunately. One day, I will make it there. And yes, I love asado, and like morcilla in small quantities :-). Alas, I am not a wine drinker -- I prefer beer when I do drink.

I did my dissertation research in the País Vasco and am working on putting together a new project in La Rioja, so I hope to be back in the neighborhood soon.

Burgos is a place plenty of history. I imagine that you took advantage of your stay to visit Numancia since is near Clunia.
I hope that you had tasted asado, morcillas and ribera´s wine, Aranda is a lovely place to eat. I always gain a bit of overweight and I only spend two o four days visiting my family there.

Precisely. I am an archaeologist specializing in Roman Spain. Not an easy site to get to!
